Moleculo is a would-be hero who tried to join the Justice Force. He appeared in the 2003 TV series.
History[]
Moleculo was one of three hopeful applicants (along with Gauntlet and Bowmaster) trying to join the Justice Force when the team decided to expand its membership roster. However good their intentions were, all three were heavily criticized by Zippy Lad, who told them that their gadgets alone wouldn't make them heroes.
Just at that time, Nano had been accidentally reconstituted by Baxter Stockman, but a reprogramming attempt gone haywire was scrambling his judgement, making him alternately trying to seek out the Justice Force for help and attacking them. The first three heroes he met were Moleculo and his companions. Moleculo immediately activated his belt and attempted to flee, but was soon found and stunned by Nano, in which state he was found and recovered by Silver Sentry. His belt proved nevertheless vital to the battle, as it enabled Michelangelo and Leonardo to shrink down to nano-scopic size to find and disable the nano unit Stockman had infected with his reprogramming core.
Moleculo's current status with the Justice Force remains unknown.
Personality[]
While Moleculo was willing to become a hero, it was more likely for the prestige than out of good will, since Moleculo proved to be extremely self-conscious, cowardly and influenceable.
Abilities[]
Moleculo employs a belt which shrinks its wearer in size. The exact limits of the device are unknown, but it has proven to exert enough power to shrink a wearer down to nanoscopic levels.
Trivia[]
- Moleculo's shrinking ability is similar to the abilities of the Ray Palmer version of the Atom from DC Comics.
